So honored to have the girls, Sarah Kate and Summer Ashley, from @thekosmickitchen with us on this Magnificent Monday. Their mission is to bring plant medicine, the people’s medicine, back into the forefront. To make kitchens kosmic worldwide, so that every human has a fundamental understanding of their bodies, and can experience the incredible magic of plants. See the bottom of this post for a special Valentine’s Day recipe!
Q: What’s your mantra for 2018?
A: Less pills, more potions.
Q: What project are you working on that you’re excited about?
A: We’re just about to start our Radical Witch online program on February 18th. Its a great place to get started on your herbal foods journey or to get a better understanding of how the elements—ether, air, fire, water + earth— can help us navigate wellness everyday. We’re all about food as medicine and believe you should have as much fun making your medicine as you do taking it. For more info, head over to our website! Another project that coincides with the program is writing our first cookbook with a publisher! We’re very excited to share more on that when we can, so keep an eye out.
Q: What’s your self-care routine look like and what would you like it to look like this year?
A: Self care looks like listening to our bodies more, taking time to rest and play and being more fluid with what remedies we need and when. Taking afternoon trips to the ocean has been really grounding and healing lately. Even if its only for an hour, you leave feeling totally reset. Not a big surprise that we’re both water signs—Sarah is a Pisces and Summer is a Cancer.
Q: How do you incorporate Omica into your daily routine & what recipe are you excited to make in 2018?
A: We’re totally in love with Omica’s Butterscotch Stevia in all our homemade seed milks + creamy herbal tonics. It has just the right touch of sweet and caramel. In fact, we just made the most divine Shatavari + Butterscotch Ghee Stuffed Dates using the butterscotch stevia for sweetness in the ghee. Its amazing how eating just one is pretty satisfying. Its been the hit of the dinner party this past week and we’re excited to share the recipe with you on Omica’s blog.
