Meet The Yatra Project, this week’s Magnificent Monday feature!
“I have just overcome an almost 3-year long chronic health battle and am so grateful and ecstatic to almost have my full stamina back! I am transitioning from an 8-year background and career in marketing to astrology and relaunching my website and blog soon which encompasses the intersection of travel, beauty, health, conscious living, etc. It is a place where people, especially women can go for information on all these areas separately but also combined, because I feel women love to look and feel good from the inside out, particularly while traveling and exploring because we want to be able to have the energy and vitality to make the most of our trips! Same goes if someone is just an on the go person and wants to know how to be more healthy. I love to simply share my stories in all these areas, what I have been through and hopefully help someone else along the way. I have lived abroad in 3 different countries/continents and traveled over 30 countries, almost all of them alone, and have found tons of hacks and collected so many stories along the way! I have been obsessed with beauty and skincare since I have been little and used to watch my mom’s skincare rituals and how she did her makeup. The first memory I have is watching her match the perfect shade of red lipstick to one of her vibrant, ornate saris. I have always been fascinated by women all over the world, their beauty and skincare rituals and how these rituals have been passed down from generation to generation as a form of taking pride within oneself and of course, as a form of self-care and self-love.”
Q: What’s your mantra for 2018?
A: “Don’t be too hard on yourself.” – this is something I have struggled with in the past. It also goes back to us taking our own advice. I tell friends and loved ones to not be too hard on themselves, but I have to remind myself to not be too hard on myself either!
Q: What project are you working on that you’re excited about?
A: I am going to be relaunching my website soon and starting a podcast for it as well! Can’t wait!
Q: What’s your self-care routine look like and what would you like it to look like this year?
A: Definitely doing AM/PM skincare (obsessed with skincare rituals and routines!), going in my infrared sauna more times per week consistently and continuing healing modalities which I love and have integrated in my life slowly since 2012 which include floating, the sauna, acupuncture and cupping, photon lymph drainage, ear coning, colonics, ozone bathing, rolfing, somato emotional integration, etc. This year I want to add back in a consistent meditation practice (I fell off a few years ago and can’t wait to get back into it), practice non-dominant hand journaling and connecting with my inner child, and overall emotional healing for this year and beyond!
Q: How do you incorporate Omica into your daily routine & what recipe are you excited to make in 2018?
A: I cannot go a DAY without Omica! I have and love the countertop reverse osmosis water filtration machine and the Omica shower filter and double vortex shower head, both which I use daily! And both complete game changers! I also use the fulvic minerals in my water before I drink it. The peppermint stevia is something I love to use in drinks and in recipes, and I also have and love the amaranth and amla oil serum for hair and scalp! I use the hair oil usually on the ends of my hair and to tame fly aways! Lovely! A recipe I would love to make this year is learn how to make a healthy yet delicious cake! Growing up, I did cake decorating for the local 4H fair and I loved it so much! Definitely want to get back into baking, but now I can add super cool and highly beneficial superfoods into these goodies!
