Meet Destiny, this week’s Magnificent Monday Feature:
Since my early 20s I have been interested in health and natural approaches to healing. I have worked with supplements, herbs, and natural bodycare for close to over a decade. Once upon a time I was vegetarian (for 9 years) thinking that the way I was living was “healthy”. When I look back now I can say that I was not really healthy. I was eating better than most Americans sure, but I still partied, had crappy sleep, was chronically dehaydrated, and so on.
I am now a holistic health advocate, and biohacker! I love sharing all the things I have learned with those around me so they can optimize all facets of wellness. My passion is sharing recipes, elixirs, tonics, tools, tech, and simple holistic lifestyle practices that people can implement into their lives so they can be the best version of
Q: What’s your mantra for 2018?
A: I don’t really have a mantra per se. Everyday is new, therefore my attention, and awareness shifts with what the day brings. There is one thing I try to live by which is take life one day a time, and have fun while doing it! Laugh, play and revel in the joys of life. It’s too easy to be too serious in life. Trust me I know all too well how easy being too serious can be.
Q: What project are you working on that you’re excited about?
A: I’m currently working on some really exciting projects that are in the works for this year, possibly even a blog. I would have to say that at the moment completing my training to becoming a certified Nutritional Therapy Practitioner. I want to create a space where you can have fun, learn, interact, and connect with others.
Q: What does your self-care routine look like and what would you like it to look like this year?
A: My favorite way to show myself some love routinely is waking up drinking high quality water then going out into nature sipping a delicious elixir or matcha. Getting a.m. sunlight in my eyes, and on my skin all while grounding to the earth. Depending on what’s going at the time I will implement other modalities into my selfcare regime as well. This year I would love to get into the practice of being more consistent with prayer, deep breathing, Infrared saunas, IF fasting, and more baths!
Q: How do you incorporate Omica into your daily routine & what recipe are you excited to make in 2018?
A: There are so many ways I incorporate Omica’s amazing products in my life on the daily. I use their game changing shower filter everyday; I’m big on water quality. I use their stevia in my tonic elixirs /desserts which is the best stevia on the planet. I also religiously use their Shilajit which is one of my favorite supplements of all time. I absolutely love Omica’s quality, and their integrity. I’m super excited to share nutrient dense recipes I have created that mix sweet with savory, incorporates tonic herbs and more. You’ll have to stay tuned and watch out for the recipes coming soon 😉
